Training Terms & Conditions

  • These Terms & Conditions apply to all beauty courses offered by THE Beauty Academy LTD Nicolla Dorn , also referred to as ‘The Company’, ‘We, ‘Our’ or ‘Us’ for the purposes of this document.
  • THE Beauty Academy PMU supplies is the platform on which all theory training is delivered.
  • Receipt of these terms and conditions confirms acceptance.

Payment

  1. The total price for the training course or package purchased is listed on your invoice which will be sent separately.
  2. Payment in full and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions are required to enroll on the course and to receive access to any pre training provided via The Beauty Academy .
  3. Places on courses will be allocated on a first come – first served basis.
      

Cancellations

All transactions are deemed to be business to business; however, we do offer the option to cancel the contract within 14 days of making the booking. By accessing The Beauty Academy, you will automatically waive your right to cancel the contract within the 14-day cooling-off period.

 

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations within the first 24 hours of booking will be refunded free of charge not cancellation fees is applied if student  didn’t receive any learning materials or access to online learning platform

Once the student has started the training and got access to all the learning materials, a £150 cancellation fee is required.

Please note that the all LEVELs from 3-7 and Government qualification registration fee are not refundable.

 

 

After this point the following applies:

 

 

  1. All transactions are deemed to be business to business however we do offer the option to cancel the contract within 14 days of making the booking. By accessing The Beauty Academy you will automatically waiver your right to cancel the contract within the 14-day cooling off period.
  2. Due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather, road accidents and other force majeure, it may be necessary to cancel, postpone or suspend all or part of any training. Although every effort will be made to ensure all courses are delivered, in the event that the company is forced to cancel any training, every effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually agreeable time. The Company will not be held responsible for additional expenses incurred by students as a result of cancellations for reasons that are beyond our control
  3. If you are prone to illness, suffer repeated illness or have an on-going medical complaint that may affect your ability to attend a course, you are recommended to take adequate medical insurance to cover any loss. Business insurance should be taken out to cover you should any unforeseen circumstances arise as we are not able to cover your losses.
  4. If a student wishes to change the date of their initial training this can be rebooked however, they will be charged a £50 admin fee for any module/event relating to Micropigmentation or Aesthetics  and Beauty training
  5. Failure to attend a training date will result in the remainder of the training being lost and a re-booking fee will be charged at the current market rate.

Training Materials & Courses

  1. Please note, once you have accepted the Terms and Conditions, your ONLine learning platform login details will be sent to you straight away.
  2. All pre-training materials will be provided online.
  3. If you have purchased a kit as part of your package, this will be released upon Us receiving payment in full. The contents of this kit must not be used until you have completed your initial training. If your package does not require a case study submission you must not use this kit until you have received your qualification.

Online Learning

Courses hosted on the online learning platform, THE BEAUTY ACADEMY , will be accessible for the time period specified when booking. Failure to complete the course in the time specified will result in your access to the online course being closed. You will receive login details as soon as the booking has been processed. You can access the online courses via PC or tablet. You must have internet to allow you to access the course content. For courses that include academy days or case studies you must complete all modules prior to moving onto the next steps in your journey. Case study uploads must be completed via the online learning platform within the timeframes specified for your course.

Practical Days

 

An evaluation of your practical skills will be carried out when you attend the in-class training if this element applies to your booking. We are providing models ..

 

Please note: a conversion package, advanced course or online Masterclass does not include a practical assessment day. If you want to attend training in our academy you will need to choose an alternative package.

 

Assessment Days & Models

If you are required to complete an assessment day as part of your package the following apply.

  1. In order to obtain the certification, the student must pass all the required course components including any practical assessments within the timeframes provided.
  2. Models will not be provided for assessment days; students must source their own models.
  3. Completion of the training does not automatically guarantee certification or competence. Trainers may request further case studies or that the student re-sit part of the course in order to meet the required standards.
  4. There is £150 charge for the assessment day.
  5. A date for your final assessment, if included as part of your training package, will be booked during or soon after your training period. Should you fail to attend a pre-agreed assessment date, you will forfeit your right to a free assessment. A new assessment date can/will be re-booked with a booking fee which will be at the current market rate.
  6. If the trainer believes that your development would be best served through alternative practice mediums, we reserve the right to refuse to allow you to perform a treatment on a model.
  7. When sourcing models for final assessment, please note that the legal minimum age for anyone wishing to have a permanent cosmetics procedure is 18 years. It is not permitted to undertake permanent cosmetics or skin therapy procedures on expectant and breast-feeding mothers.
  8. All models will be required to complete a medical health questionnaire to confirm they have no conditions contra-indicative to receiving the treatment.
  9. All models are required to complete the standard pre-procedure sensitivity patch tests and assessment process to ensure they are suitable for a treatment. If the patch test reveals sensitivity, the model will not be allowed to have the treatment.
  10. We will not be held responsible for the non-attendance of models

Certification of Qualification

Upon successful completion of your practical assessment (and any related case studies if required) we will provide you with a digital certificate as evidence your skills.

Conversion or Masterclass Qualification

A conversion course or masterclass is an upskill of your previous qualification and you must already hold a certificate to perform this treatment and gain insurance.

By providing a copy of your certificate it is verification that you have previously attended training, carried out the practical assessment and are qualified to perform the treatment. If you are unable to provide a copy of your certificate you will need to choose an alternative package.

 

Miscellaneous

  1. Students must complete all sections of the training package within a specified period of time from the date the THE Beauty Academy  login details are received, failure to complete within the timeframes specified will result in your account being closed. The timeframes will be detailed in your confirmation email.
  2. Tea, Coffee , Lunch,  refreshments will be provided .
  3. Whilst our students are on the academy premises attending a training course or assessment, they are fully covered by the respective company insurance. Students are not covered whilst undertaking case studies when away from these premises and therefore must arrange for their own insurance to be in place. Should it not be possible to obtain insurance through your existing insurer, we recommend Holistic Insurance who can provide full cover for students during their home study period and their on-going business. Holistic insurance is an independent broker and not affiliated to The Beauty Academy
  4. For insurance purposes, individuals who are under the age of 18 are not allowed to train with us.
  5. If you have purchased a package which relates to permanent cosmetics, then prior to commencing a business in permanent cosmetics, it may be necessary to register your business with your local authority or acquire a special treatment license. We recommend that students familiarise themselves with the requirements of the licensing authority covering the area or areas in which they intend to work. to ensure the course or certification meets with their licensing criteria.
